ICMP Echo requests(Ping):
NetAlarm can send icmp echo requests to your servers periodically and controls the
responses. Pinging is easy and effective way to detect network and software problems. |

-Http Requests:
Http servers is an important part of today's business.
NetAlarm can send http requests periodically to your servers like a traditional web browser and can control the responses. NetAlarm also supports secure SSL connections. |
-Sockets :
NetAlarm can establish socket connections to your servers like a telnet client.

-Oracle Health Check:
NetAlarm includes some oracle specific algorithms and can control your oracle database
periodically. It can notify you if something is wrong.
For example, if open cursor count is greater than a predefined threshold, Netalarm
can notify you. NetAlarm can also check invalid objects on your database.

-MS SQL Server Health Check:
NetAlarm can control whether your SQL Server is health. You can define different
alarms for the criterias like high open cursor count, transaction performance and
so on.
-WMI :
NetAlarm can send WMI queries periodically to your servers and can control responses.
Using WMI, you can define a lot of advanced queries like CPU utilization, disk and
memory usage. NetAlarm supports multiple processors.
Using WMI queries, you can also control the running processes. You can start an
alarm if an important process does not exist in your server.
-SNMP :
Using SNMP queries, you can control all snmp enabled devices like network switches,
AIX servers, Linux servers and some industrial machines. (Details..)

What can it do if it detects a problem ?
In case of a problem, NetAlarm will notify you with following methods.
- E-Mail
NetAlarm can send e-mail messages to specified recipients
about the problem.
- Voice
NetAlarm can play wave files via your sound
card.
- SMS
NetAlarm can send SMS messages if you
have a GSM modem.
- Phone
NetAlarm can call you via phone and can tell you
what is problem. (Professional version only)
- Fax
NetAlarm can send fax messages to specified
recipients. (Professional version only)
NetAlarm can also execute different shell commands according to situation. So, you
can integrate NetAlarm to your own softwares easly.
